Injured raptors
Sightings of sick, injured, or dead raptors
We have put this here to help you know what to do and who to contact if you do find yourself in these situations where you have seen a sick, injured or dead bird of prey.
If you find a sick or dead bird we advise that you do not touch it, and keep dogs away. Remember Bird Flu also affects birds of prey. You can report any sick or dead birds via the Defra helpline (03459 33 55 77).
Dorset Raptor Study Group does not offer a general service for the care and rehabilitation of wildlife however, as specialist raptor workers, we may be able to assist in some cases. Please do reach out and CONTACT US and also check out any links below for further guidance, advice and animal care centres.
